Whether you're staying in a cheap hotel or a more expensive one, one of the most common things that can ruin your stay isn't the food or the customer service - it's the bed that you sleep in. Some hotel beds contain mattresses that are not very comfortable, so in order to test that theory, I scoured the web to find reviews of which hotels have the best beds Ready to find out which six beds will have you sleeping like a baby in no time flat? Here we go! TEMPUR-PEDIC This particular model is in every single room at New York City's Hotel on Rivington. No doubt you have seen all of the different commercials for this bed, describing the mattresses as weight-distributing, form-fitting sponges. Tempur-Pedic beds also work to relieve pain found in major pressure points all around the body, as well as adjusting with your body movement in order to maintain proper alignment of the spine. After undertaking some further research, Tempur-Pedic beds were also discovered to be used at hotels such as the Cap Maison Resort & Spa, the Catalina Hotel, the Gallery Inn, and the Perry Hotel. WESTIN HEAVENLY BED As the name suggests, this particular model is found at the Westin brand of hotels, ranging from the Westin Colonnade (where I stayed), San Francisco Market Street, Boston Waterfront, and Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. This bed contains a ten-layer pillowtop mattress complete with hypoallergenic pillows. After further research, I was surprised to find that you do not necessarily have to stay at a Westin-brand hotel to enjoy sleeping in one of these beauties. In fact, queen-sized versions are available for purchase at Nordstrom and other department stores...with a price tag of about $2,800. STEARNS & FOSTER Stearns & Foster is one of the most recognizable names in the bedding business and they are found in every room of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. With a quilted surface, this particular model also contains titanium coils that are individually wrapped to allow for only a certain amount of movement, which will lessen your chances of tossing and turning. Research shows that similar Stearns & Foster models can also be found at the Trump SoHo New York, the Fairmont San Francisco, the Kahala Hotel and Resort, Fisher Island Hotel and Resort, and the Plaza. THE AFFINIA BED The Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., prefers the Affinia Bed, which is topped with the Sealy Posturepedic Plush Sleep System. This system contains a box spring that not only extends the life of the mattress, but also firmly supports the back of the sleeper. The hotel also gives the option of choosing from six different pillows to use, including memory foam, therapeutic magnets, and natural buckwheat. Other hotels that include these beds are the Affinia Manhattan and Affinia Shelburne. W HOTELS MATTRESS As the name itself suggests, these specific mattresses can be found at W-brand Hotels. During a visit to the W San Francisco, I had the opportunity to try out this mattress, and I can honestly say that I was extremely pleased and absolutely fell in love with it! CEO, Jason Clason representing experts from Mattress Time UK says this mattress uses Visco Memory Foam to relieve pressure points around the body. This mattress is also available for purchase on the official W Hotels website. Other W-brand Hotels that have beds with this mattress include the W Washington, D.C., Vieques Island, and W Atlanta-Buckhead. SLEEP NUMBER This is another bed that I'm sure you've seen a good portion of the multiple commercials about. This particular model has 100 different comfort levels, ranging between "incredibly firm" and "featherbed soft." Better yet, each side of the bed can be adjusted to different comfort settings. New York City's Radisson Martinique on Broadway adores this brand of bed however, Sleep Number beds can also be found in the a Joie de Vivre Hotel, the Domain Hotel, the Bayfront Inn 5th Avenue, and the Radisson Fort McDowel.
